IOWA CITY, Iowa — Gophers cornerback John Nestor made his return to play against Iowa at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Nestor, who started his career with the Hawkeyes, will boost a Minnesota secondary that has dealt with more injuries than any other position group this season. Cornerback Mike Gerald and safety Garrison Monroe remain out, per the U’s unavailable list shared two hours before kickoff.

Minnesota was also without receiver Logan Loya and linebacker Jeff Roberson in the Floyd of Rosedale rivalry game.

Last week, Nestor was listed as questionable with an unknown issue versus No. 25 Nebraska and narrowly missed the 24-6 win over the Cornhuskers last Friday.
