BOUNDARY COUNTY, Idaho -- The Idaho Transportation Department is hosting a free winter driving class for North Idaho residents next week.
This class takes place on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Boundary County Sheriff's Office.
The course will be taught by Idaho State Police Troopers and ITD operators. It will cover a wide range of topics from proper vehicle preparation, equipment, road conditions, crashes and snowplow safety.
ITD says while the course is beneficial for drivers of all ages and skill levels, it is especially geared toward young drivers and anyone new to the area who may be preparing for their first winter driving season.
Anyone who completes the class will also receive a 10% off coupon for a new set of snow tires from any North Idaho Les Schwab Tire Cen
