SALT LAKE CITY — On Friday evening, two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on state Route 73 at the intersection of Eagle Mountain Blvd.

Sgt. Ray Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that this happened at approximately 7 p.m. when a truck pulling a trailer pulled out in front of another vehicle on SR-73.

Sgt. Ormond also said that one driver was transported to the hospital with possible head injuries and chest trauma, though not life-threatening.

The driver of the truck has been arrested for a DUI and is being booked into the Utah County jail.

The road was temporarily closed, but was cleared by approximately 9 p.m.
