Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer will take the mound for Game 3 of the World Series, while Shane Bieber will be the starting pitcher for Game 4.
The Toronto Blue Jays will turn to Max Scherzer in Game 3 against the Dodgers when the World Series shifts to Los Angeles on Monday.
It’s a change in the rotation from the American League Championship Series, when Shane Bieber pitched Game 3 against the Seattle Mariners, and then Scherzer pitched Game 4.
Bieber will start Game 4 in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Jays manager John Schneider said he switched the order for the two pitchers since he didn’t want to hold off Scherzer for too long. He last pitched Game 4 in Seattle on Oct. 16, an 8-2 win for Toronto. Bieber, on the other hand, started Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday.
