ROCKY RIVER, Ohio –
OVI: Beachcliff Boulevard
A caller on Sept. 25 told officers about a car stopped for an unusually long period at a stop sign on Beachcliff Boulevard at Avalon Drive.
Officers arrived to find a 63-year-old Westlake man driving the car. He admitted to drinking, and officers spotted an open can of Bud Ice behind the front seat on the passenger floorboard, according to a statement from the police.
Officers administered field sobriety tests and then arrested the driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. While being booked into jail, he gave a breath sample that indicated a 0.155 BAC, according to a police department statement.
