Satish Shah and Kundan Shah had a very rich association. The duo had worked together on Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, both of which have attained cult status over the years. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi marked her Hindi film debut with the latter. In the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Satish played Suchitra’s father. When News18 Showsha reached out to her following his demise, she was shocked, stating she hadn’t heard of his passing.

“Oh my god! I didn’t know this. I hadn’t heard the news. I’m in such a big shock," she exclaimed. The duo didn’t work together after Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and the film remained their first and last collaboration. But Suchitra always held him close to his heart and has fond memories of him.
