A large blaze severely damaged the front portion of a residence on Séguin Street in Laval’s Fabreville district early Saturday morning.
Authorities report that multiple neighbours called 911 at around 6:30 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, they found two vehicles burning near the home’s garage entrance. The flames had nearly reached the roof and extended toward the neighbouring property.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials noted that the house’s smoke alarms were not functioning at the time of the incident.
The case has been handed over to Laval police, who have deemed the circumstances of the fire suspicious, though investigators found no incendiary devices at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
