BEMIDJI — Ever since redshirt senior Jake Hill returned to the field for the first time in a year and a half, the Bemidji State football team hasn’t lost.
Coincidence? If you look at his stats, that might not be the case.
In his first game back on homecoming against Northern State, he caught the eventual game-winning pass, a 44-yard touchdown that clinched the Beavers’ first win of the season.
The next week at Wayne State, Hill racked up 129 yards receiving, setting up the offense past midfield multiple times in BSU’s 26-21 win over the Wildcats.
And against Jamestown at Chet Anderson Stadium Saturday, Hill may have had his best performance yet. His three-touchdown first half kickstarted the Beavers’ 47-25 rout of the Jimmies, the first meeting between the two programs since 1956.
