The Denver Broncos (5-2) are chasing down their first AFC West division title in a decade.

For nine straight seasons, it’s been Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs cruising their way to win the division, first led by Alex Smith and now Patrick Mahomes.

While it's been a difficult run for the Broncos and their fans, last season saw a return to the playoffs for the first time since 2015 under rookie Bo Nix, and in 2025-26, they have their sights set even higher.

Through seven weeks, it is in fact Denver that holds a slight cushion atop the division, a half game ahead of the Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) and one game up on the aforementioned Chiefs (4-3).
