Lincoln police arrest 40-year-old for first-degree murder in death of his girlfriend

LINCOLN, Neb. —

Lincoln police arrested a 40-year-old man days after a woman was found dead in an apartment complex.

Tracy Henman , 43, was found dead in her home with neck injuries during a welfare check on Thursday.

On Saturday, police arrested Henman's boyfriend, Joshua Meyers, after he was released from the hospital. He was in the hospital being treated for injuries sustained in the incident.

LPD said Meyers was booked into the Lancaster County Jail for first-degree murder.

Police said they will provide more information on Monday during a 9:30 a.m. news conference.
