Nadir loved cricket. It was his obsession. We had been friends since our childhood, and while I had always liked football more, Nadir’s love for cricket was so overwhelming and contagious, that in my college years, I too fell in love with cricket.

No matter which team would play, Nadir always supported the Pakistani cricket team, even in a match between Australia and West Indies. He was in awe of Pakistani players like Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar and of course, Shahid Afridi.
