A driver died while another one was sent to the hospital following a crash in San Jose Saturday, the city’s police department said.
Police said officers responded to the area of Foxworthy and Jarvis avenues regarding a fatal collision between two vehicles.
According to authorities, one driver was pronounced deceased at the scene and the other one was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officials report both vehicles involved were occupied by a solo driver.
The police department said Foxworthy Avenue from Meridian Avenue to Jarvis Avenue will be blocked off in both directions for a significant amount of time, and they suggest the public to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
