Warwick boys soccer is one step closer to returning to the District 3 Class 4A final after falling to Cumberland Valley on the big stage last year.

But it didn’t come easy. Scoreless through regulation against No. 8 Central Dauphin, the top-seeded Warriors (19-2-1) were given life by Gavin Kochel.

Kochel buried the golden goal during the 98th minute from Riley Bills to survive and advance. Warwick also clinched a PIAA 4A berth, having lost a double-overtime heartbreaker in the semifinals to eventual champion Cumberland Valley last season.

Isaac Yerger kept the shutout with 11 saves between the pipes for the Warriors while Jordan Lopez provided four saves for the Rams.
