The Gamecocks’ quarterback again coughed up a late fumble that led to an Alabama win 29-22, just as he did last year in Tuscaloosa. After the Crimson Tide (7-1, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) tied the game with a 79-yard touchdown drive and two-point conversion, USC got the ball back with 2:16 to play, needing to just get in field-goal range.
