WEST LAFATETTE, Indiana. − Is this the team Rutgers football can beat for its first Big Ten win of the season?

That's what the Scarlet Knights will be trying to do when they play the Purdue Boilermakers here at Ross-Ade Stadium. Greg Schiano's team, coming off a 56-10 blowout loss to Oregon at home, is also looking to snap a four-game losing streak.

Purdue, meanwhile, is coming off a 19-0 loss to a surprising Northwestern team.

Rutgers and Purdue have had similar seasons with decent offenses but poor defenses. The season hasn't gone well for both teams.

The Scarlet Knights are running out of opportunities to pick up three more wins to earn bowl eligibility, and this is one of the most winnable games remaining on the schedule.
