That’s what the Hobnobben Film Festival offers each year for cinema lovers and filmmakers from all over, with special focus on the voices and perspective of people often underrepresented by the larger media landscape.
For many, it’s an example of Northeast Indiana’s connection to the arts and the importance of community in media.
“Fort Wayne is my hometown,” said Victoria Britton, local filmmaker and Hobnobben volunteer. “I’m very proud of Fort Wayne and I think the city in general has a lot to offer, and Cinema Center in particular can be a place of community and connection.”
Now in its 10th year, Fort Wayne Cinema Center’s annual Hobnobben Film Festival featured 165 films, with 46 countries and 30 languages represented, according to data provided by Associate Executi
