SURF CITY, N.C. (WITN) - Firefighters in Surf City have put out a multi-home blaze that destroyed one home and damaged others.

The fire is at the 1700 block of North Shore Drive.

The Surf City Fire Department says one home was destroyed and three others were damaged.

Officials say that two firefighters were injured and are being treated by EMS. One is being evaluated at an ambulance. We’re working to find out the status of the other.

Multiple fire departments worked to extinguish the flames.

Assisting agencies include Topsail Beach Fire Department, North Topsail Beach Fire Department, Pender EMS and Fire, Surf City Police Department, and Surf City Public Works, among others.
