Buffalo, N.Y. ― The Syracuse Orange showed promise and a few problems in a 76-66 win over Buffalo in an exhibition here at the KeyBank Center on Saturday night.

Syracuse looked good as it built an 18-point lead early in the second half, but the Orange looked shaky as it frittered away most of its advantage under a barrage of late 3-pointers from the Bulls.

Buffalo, which had made just four of its first 19 3-pointers, staged a furious rally as it made five consecutive 3s. Ezra McKenna’s fourth 3-pointer of the night made the score 70-66 with 1:24 remaining.

The Orange steadied itself during a timeout and proceeded to score the last six points of the game ― all from the foul line. After its late charge, Buffalo missed its last 3-pointers. 16
