KOKOMO/CHESTERTON, Ind. (WNDU) - Three high school soccer teams from our viewing area played in semi-states on Saturday, and two of them will be playing for a state championship next weekend.
On the girls side, Bremen and Mishawaka Marian punched their tickets to the finals while South Bend Adams saw its postseason run come to an end on the boys side.
Bremen beat previously unbeaten Lapel 4-0 at Kokomo High School to advance to its first soccer state championship game in school history. The Lions (17-3-1) will face Heritage Christian (15-7) in the Class 1A state final at IU Indianapolis’ Michael Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium either Friday, Oct. 31, or Saturday, Nov. 1.
