A teen who was on a McFlurry run with his girlfriend has had his vehicle impounded after police allegedly caught him driving 70km/h over the speed limit.
Victoria Police say they “scooped” up the driver in Buln Buln, a town in West Gippsland, late on Saturday night, alleging he was travelling at 152km/h in an 80 zone.
The driver, a 19-year-old man from Warragul, had purchased the dessert for his girlfriend, according to a police statement.
“No one wants a runny dessert, but the driver soon found his P2 license would have been worth melting for,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
The driver had his vehicle impounded, which will set him back $1291 for 30 days.
He is expected to be charged on summons with driving offences.
