SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Dogs and their owners from all over the country are in Sioux Falls this weekend for the Sioux Empire Kennel Club’s All Breed Dog Shows .
Around 500 dogs are competing out at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds, and the Shows aren’t just for the best dogs.
The Kennel Club hosts temperament testing, health clinics, handling clinics, and more.
For those who attend or participate every year, they always get to see a couple of new breeds.
“We have 500 dogs, and many different breeds. That’s a lot of fun, too. I’ve seen a couple of different breeds that I’ve never seen before, so that’s always fun. Getting to learn about the new breeds, who they are, and what they were bred for,” said Sioux Empire Kennel Club President Karen Bos-Carey.
