KILGORE, Texas (KETK) -- The third-ranked TJC Apaches football team took its' perfect record east down Highway 31 Saturday to face off against rival Kilgore College.
The Apaches rode another strong defensive performance on their way to a 38-17 win over the Rangers.
No. 3 TJC improves to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in conference play, while Kilgore College drops to 2-5 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
No. 3 TJC wraps up the regular season with a huge showdown at home versus No. 11 Navarro on Saturday, November 1. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler.
A win over Navarro would give TJC the Southwest Junior College Football Conference regular season title for the second year in a row.
