ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – Utah State football came out flat in Bronco Mendenhall’s return to New Mexico with a demoralizing 33-14 loss.
USU (4-4, 2-2) was in the Land Enchantment to take on the New Mexico Lobos (5-3, 2-2) on Saturday, October 25.
Newly minted father Bryson Barnes completed 13-of-23 passes for 164 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He was sacked three times.
Miles Davis capitalized on a 64-yard scoring run to finish the day with 116 yards and averaged 11 yards per carry to highlight the Aggie offense. Braden Pegan caught five passes for 108 yards and a TD to continue his breakout season.
Brevin Hamblin led the defense with 11 stops. Defensive end John Miller and defensive tackle Carson Tujague had ten tackles each.
