Like many people who spent Saturday, Oct. 25, at Jones AT&T Stadium, Mitch Griffis watched a good bit of Texas Tech football growing up and marveled at Graham Harrell touchdown passes to Michael Crabtree .
That was 17 years ago, and unlike most of those fans who were at Jones AT&T Stadium then and at Jones AT&T Stadium now , Griffis was a 7-year-old in Virginia, the son of a high-school coach who likes throwing the football. They watched Hawaii and they watched Texas Tech, because both teams aired it out.
Saturday was a storybook day, then, for Griffis, who passed for a touchdown and ran for a touchdown in the Red Raiders' 42-0 victory over Oklahoma State. Not only that, Griffis' parents came in for the game, and at halftime Harrell was inducted into the Tech football Ring of H
