BROOKINGS, S.D. (KFYR) - The Dakota Marker Rivalry once again went NDSU’s way as the No. 1 Bison defeated the No. 2 South Dakota State Jackrabbits 38-7.
The Jackrabbits struggles without starting quarterback Chase Mason, who was ruled out due to injury. Backup QB Luke Marble struggled in Mason’s place. The Bison defense sacked Marble four times on the evening.
Cole Payton did not throw for any touchdown passes. Instead, the Bison signal caller ran for four.
Payton ran the ball himself 17 times for 137 yards, including a 57-yard run.
NDSU moves to 8-0 on the season. The Bison play Youngstown State in Fargo next week.
