MICHIGAN CENTER, Mich. (WLNS) - The Hanover-Horton defense came up with big stop after big stop in a 20-14 win over Michigan Center on Saturday in the Cascades Conference championship game.

Michigan Center won the Cascades East division this season and Hanover-Horton was first place in the Cascades West.

Michigan Center was undefeated coming into play and had beaten Hanover-Horton 53-14 in week three.

The Comets were able to turn the tide on Saturday. Their defense set the tone by forcing two turnovers and allowing zero points in the first half.

With the win, Hanover-Horton improves to 7-2 and gets ready for the D7 playoffs with a conference title under its belt.

With the loss, Michigan Center falls to 8-1 and will prepare for the D5 playoffs.
