SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies are working to convince a man they believe is armed and barricaded in a home, to surrender peacefully.

Deputies went to the home on Antler Run Place in the Antelope area of Sacramento County around 7:30 p.m. Saturday after receiving reports of the man threatening to kill his wife, family, and dog, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies said that all family members and the dog, are out safely and the man is alone in the home.

A few homes nearby were evacuated, according to the sheriff's office.
