Bihar Rural Work Department (RWD) Minister Ashok Choudhary on Sunday morning said that the state has the fastest growth rate in India under the Nitish Kumar government, as opposed to the lawlessness witnessed earlier under the opposition’s “jungle raj”.
“He (Amit Shah) meant to say that the growth rate of 3.5 to 4 per cent was brought down to 2.5 per cent during the jungle raj. The previous government had no governance policy. Nitish Kumar has brought the growth rate from 2.5 per cent to 10.4 per cent today. There was lawlessness in Bihar earlier. The businessmen couldn’t do business. There was kidnapping and extortion,” Choudhary told ANI.
“The progressive government in Bihar has made it the state with the fastest growth rate in India under Nitish Kumar’s rule,” he added.
