UK motorists could be slapped with a driving ban and an unlimited fine for getting behind the wheel after taking their prescribed medication. ‌

While it's widely known that drink-driving or driving under the influence of illegal substances is against the law, many might not realise that their legal, prescribed medication could also land them in hot water under certain circumstances. ‌

Official guidelines spell out that legal drugs are those prescribed by a doctor or healthcare professional, or over-the-counter medicine
