Bengaluru: In an incident reported from Tilaknagar Main Road on Saturday evening, a 35-year-old woman was found dead with injuries to her head and neck on the back seat of a parked autorickshaw.
The victim has been identified as Salma, a resident of Ragigudda slum. Police said that she was a domestic worker and a mother of four, who had been living alone following the death of her husband a few years ago, as reported by the Times of India.
The autorickshaw was found about 300 meters from the Tilaknagar police station, and passersby alerted authorities after noticing the woman motionless inside.
According to police, the case is being treated as a murder, and the assailant is believed to be someone known to the victim.
