DALLAS -- Walton wasn’t able to overcome a big first-half deficit as the Raiders lost to North Paulding 34-22 in their regular-season finale at The Den on Friday.

The Raiders trailed 27-7 at halftime and while they took advantage of a number of penalties by the Wolfpack to narrow the gap in the second half, it wasn’t enough to pull out the win.

“North Paulding is a good football and we didn’t play very well in the first half,” Walton coach Daniel Brunner said. “We came back in the second half and played some good football, but we turned the ball over too much to win the game. We had opportunities and we didn’t capitalize on them and at the end of the day, you’ve got to finish when you put yourself in those situations and we weren’t able to do that tonight.”
