WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana – Rutgers football pulled off a comeback 27-24 victory over Purdue to win a game it badly needed.
With the victory at Ross-Ade Stadium on Oct. 25, the Scarlet Knights earned their first Big Ten win of the season and evened their record at 4-4, moving two wins away from bowl eligibility.
The win also snapped Rutgers’ four-game losing streak.
“Certainly really, really proud of our players, our coaches and really everybody associated with the program,” coach Greg Schiano said. “It’s been a tough, tough stretch. I’m not a big believer in ‘should’ve won this’ or ‘should’ve won that.’ There’s one winner and there’s one loser. Do we have our feelings about some of the games we’ve lost?
