West Coast are facing the biggest game in their AFLW history, but ruck star Lauren Wakfer insists they won’t be overawed even with a shadow over their star Ella Roberts.
The Eagles missed a chance to book their maiden finals berth after falling to a 3.6 (26) to 6.7 (43) against the Sydney Swans at Henson Park on Saturday.
It leaves them facing a virtual elimination final against Carlton on Friday night, with the loser likely to miss out on a finals campaign.
“We threw everything at them, and credit to them, Sydney brought their A-game,” Wakfer told The West Australian.
“But we’ll keep our heads up and work on the things we need to work on and push on to Carlton next week.”
