Parents and kids filled Burswood Park on Sunday for the annual Walk for Prems, raising vital funds for Life’s Little Treasures Foundation which supports families of babies born sick or premature.

The Perth leg was one of the 23 events held nationwide and marked the foundations 20-year milestone.

Life’s Little Treasures Foundation CEO Felicia Welstead said the walk is one of the most rewarding parts of her role because she gets to see the children grow up.

“You might have seen them when they were just out of the hospital and then you see them a year later and you see how they are progressing,” she said.

One family has attended every year since it began 16 years ago.

“Their little boy was only four months old, they just got out of the hospital when the first Walk for Prems happened. . .
