Akron Public School Athletic Director Joe Vassalotti does not agree with the Ohio High School Athletic Association's decision to turn canceled games in August into forfeit wins and losses for teams in October.
Vassalotti , who was a football head coach for 20 seasons with stints at Tallmadge, Kent Roosevelt, Lyndhurst Brush and Norton, said he is disappointed the OHSAA gave Garfield and Norton forfeit losses. Vassalotti spoke with the Akron Beacon Journal on Oct. 23 after the OHSAA changed its tune on 14 canceled games on Oct. 22.
