KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Sunday builds in batches of rain, with light scattered rain with us from the morning. The evening is where we’ll see some heavy downpours which will get us close to an inch, if not more by Monday morning.

SUNDAY - Mostly cloudy with light to moderate rain at times. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 60s for the afternoon.

SUNDAY NIGHT TO MONDAY MORNING - Periods of rain, heavy at times will move through leaving some areas of ponding on roadways for Monday morning.

MONDAY - Monday is cooler as temperatures struggle to get out of the 50s. That’s also accompanies with periods of downpours at times.

THE NEXT FEW DAYS - We’ll have on and off periods of rain for the early part of the week. Frost threats return in time for next weekend.
