Indiana demolished UCLA 56-6 in Week 9, defeating the much-improved Bruins handily. Other matchups across the conference included Nebraska's 28-21 win over Northwestern and Iowa's 41-3 dominant win over Minnesota. Elsewhere in Big Ten play, Washington upended No. 23 Illinois 42-25 in Seattle, improving the Huskies to 6-2 on the season and 3-2 in conference play. Sticking in the Pacific Northwest, No. 6 Oregon — playing much of the second half without quarterback Dante Moore — ground out a 21-7 win over visiting Wisconsin.
