Cairo, Oct 26: Egyptian foreign minister Badr Abdelatty and Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan have underscored the importance of upholding the Gaza ceasefire to preserve regional peace and stability, during a phone conversation held on Saturday.

The two leaders discussed preparations for an international conference on Gaza’s recovery and reconstruction, to be hosted by Cairo in November, with Abdelatty inviting Turkey’s active participation and support for the event.

According to reports, both ministers reviewed ongoing Egypt–Turkey coordination in monitoring the ceasefire, in close collaboration with regional and international partners.
