The online B1 promotion test for Himachal Pradesh Police constables was abruptly called off on Sunday after multiple technical glitches were reported across several examination centres in the state. The test, crucial for the promotion of constables to the next rank, was being conducted in two shifts—morning and evening—for 4,461 candidates.
According to police sources, 2,696 constables were scheduled to appear in the morning session, while 1,765 were slated for the evening shift. The examination was being held at designated centres, such as district police headquarters and other approved venues, including private institutes. However, soon after the test commenced, candidates began reporting technical problems that hampered the submission of their online answers.
