Louisville football showed some real maturity Saturday night in its 38-24 win over Boston College at L&N Stadium. The No. 22 Cardinals most assuredly would have lost this game in the past.

Whether they were still basking in the euphoria of beating then-No. 2 Miami on the road last week; feeling pretty good about being ranked for the first time this season; or simply believing the ACC’s last-place team was no match for them; the Cards wandered through the game playing somewhere between sharp and sedated.
