Menzies even boasted an 8-6 lead late in the contest, but 'Cool Hand' lived up to his moniker as he showed plenty of composure and found another gear to inch closer towards a maiden European Championship crown.
Although Humphries was elated to get over the line, he conceded it was far from smooth sailing.
He also noted Menzies didn't exactly make it easy for him thanks to a number of inadvertent acts.
