More than 15,000 packages of Neutrogena makeup wipes were recalled earlier this month due to bacterial concerns.
Neutrogena’s parent company, Kenvue Brands, issued the voluntary recall after the makeup wipes tested positive for pluralibacter gergoviae, a bacteria that can cause infections, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration .
The recall affects 1,312 cases of Neutrogena’s 50-count makeup remover ultra soft cleansing towelettes.
The recalled products were distributed to Texas, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida with lot number 1835U6325A.
The voluntary recall was issued on Sept. 19 but was later upgraded to a Class II recall on Oct. 3.
