The Hamblen County Commission had a do-over Thursday afternoon.
It was discovered that the two votes taken on a lawsuit at the October 14th Special Called Commission meeting may have issues due to the meeting not being publicized and unavailability for public comment.
A “do-over” was conducted during Thursday’s regular meeting in which County Mayor Chris Cutshaw suggested suspending the rules to allow for public comment.
“I didn’t put them at the beginning of the meeting. It was an oversight (by me),” said Commission Chairman Bobby Haun. “I do apologize to the citizens and commission.”
County Attorney Mark Capps explained why the re-vote was taking place regarding Case No. 220ZCV00026.
