PATNA: Gold is a metal that Indians can never avoid. Many countries earn huge revenues by exporting gold, and every year, tons of it are mined across the world. There is always competition among nations to buy and stock gold. Now, following the discovery of gold in Odisha, reports have emerged of a new gold find in another Indian state — Bihar. The Geological Survey of India (GSI) has identified gold reserves in the state.
The discovery was made during a 2022 survey, which confirmed the presence of gold deposits in Jamui district of Bihar. The state is now preparing to begin mining operations.
