Gleaners Community Food Bank received a $2 million leadership gift from the Wayne and Joan Webber Foundation.

According to the news release, this is one of the largest single contributions the Foundation has made to Gleaners and reflects more than two decades of support toward their mission of achieving a hunger free community in Southeast Michigan.

The grant went toward building Fresh! by Gleaners, located at 4401 8 Mile Road, Warren a free fresh produce and dairy market to increase access to nutritious food, especially for those in need nearby in Warren and Detroit.
