WATERFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Police are investigating after a deadly crash in Waterford on Saturday night.
At around 11:20 p.m. officers were called to the area of Route 32 southbound near Smith Cove after a report of a crash involving a motorcycle, the police department said.
It was revealed that the operator of the Harley Davidson motorcycle was going south struck a guardrail right before Richards Grove Road and was ejected into a wooded area.
Police said no other vehicles were involved in this crash.
Unfortunately, due to the extent of injuries, he died on scene.
Officials have confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist as 55-year-old Thomas Peabody of Rhode Island.
This crash remains under investigation.
