Shillong, Oct 26: The Indian senior women’s football team will lock horns with Nepal in the final match of the Tri-Nation Women’s International Friendlies at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong, on Monday at 6 p.m. IST.
For head coach Crispin Chettri, the game offers both a chance to bounce back from the 0–2 defeat to Iran and an opportunity to fine-tune preparations for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026. “Against Iran, we weren’t at our best, but it was a learning experience,” Chettri said on Sunday. “Nepal are a different side, and we’re aiming for a stronger performance. We’ll also give opportunities to younger players so that we can build a core of 30–35 players ahead of the Asian Cup.”
Among those likely to feature are youngsters Julan
