SAWYER — A new airline is preparing to start operations at Sawyer. Officials at Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport have announced that United Airlines will begin offering flights between Marquette and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

Beginning May 21, United will operate three daily flights on a Bombardier CRJ-550 aircraft, according to a facility press release. This new service provides enhanced connectivity for Upper Peninsula travelers to one of the nation’s largest airline hubs, offering convenient access to hundreds of domestic and international destinations through United’s extensive network.
