COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Compared to meteor showers and comets, these days, the Pleiades may be a lesser-known celestial display. The star cluster is also known as the Seven Sisters. According to Greek mythology, the Seven Sisters were the daughters of Pleione and her husband Atlas, who was condemned by Zeus to hold up the heavens or sky for eternity.
