PHILADELPHIA — Cam Skattebo’s brilliant rookie season just took a turn for the worse.
In fact, his season could be over.
Skattebo suffered what appeared to be a serious injury to his right ankle midway through the second quarter Sunday against the Eagles. Giants teammates dropped to a knee, and several turned their backs to avoid the gruesome scene. 3

Dr. Eric Friedman, a Charlotte-based sports injury physician who is the team doctor for USA Ski & Snowboard, declared on “X” that Skattebo has a season-ending open fracture of his tibia and is looking at multiple future surgeries, but could be ready for Week 1 of the 2026 season if there are no complications.
